Covid -19 Safety plan
In order to maintain the safety of our students, staff, and families the following precautions will be taken during our 2020 season until it is deemed safe to resume activities as normal.
Staff will wear masks while teaching and in common areas.
Due to the Governor Northam’s mask mandate everyone must wear a mask when entering and exiting the building and in common areas.
The studios will be taped into 6x6’ squares. Each dancer will get a square to stand in.
Spots will be spaced around the room for across the floor exercises. Students will move around the room and go across the floor. Avoiding being too close.
Classes will end 5 minutes early to allow for cleaning of the classroom. All items such as barres, obstacle course items, etc. will be wiped off. Floors will be mopped daily. Floors may be cleaned multiple times per day with a spray and mop depending on the need.
Please drop your child off for class (with a mask on). You may come back in to pick up your child or if you would like we can bring them out to you at the door. If you need to use the waiting room please limit to 6 people and wear a mask at all times.
One of our favorite things is to show progress at the end of each class. So we will be taking it online. At the end of class every other week we will do a live stream on our parent and dancers private facebook group. So you can watch your child dance from the safety of your car.
Masks for dancers: Tiny Tot and Pre-K masks are optional.
Dancers 10 and above: While we will do everything possible to keep the dancers separated during class time it is almost impossible to keep a 6’ distance at all times during a dance class. When we are in our squares or going across the floor masks are not required. Anytime during class when we cannot space out (i.e. choreography) dancers are encouraged to wear a mask. *Please have dancer bring a clean mask in a ziplock bag. They can keep in in the studio in their square until it’s needed.
9. Hand sanitizer will be given out before, after and sometimes during classes.
10. All dancers are required to bring their own water bottle. Water is available for $1 if they forget.
